The Silent Glide Canoe and Kayak Shop opened in 1997 and continues to grow and improve. Owned by Dan Renzoni, Silent Glide is mostly a one person operation so he is often on the water with customers and not at the store, so please call before coming, (715)748-0148. We carry many accessories, paddleboards, snowshoes, a large inventory of canoes and kayaks and provide a growing list of services including paddling instruction, on-the-water demos, one-on-one service by appointment and special fun events like races and paddle nights. We are a small, Northwoods business where you will receive personal attention and are welcomed as a friend. Located in scenic North-Central Wisconsin near the Chequamegon/Nicolet National Forest, we are the entry point to the headwaters of several rivers within a 30 minute drive with wonderful lakes and campgrounds nearby.

Canoes by Wenonah and Golden Hawk

There are many lines of fine canoes and Dan has paddled many of them. However none of the comparable canoes are better designed and constructed, come with more features or are priced lower. That is why I carry only two brands - Wenonah and Golden Hawk. Should something ever go wrong, Dan will be there to make things right . . . and no company will treat you better with warranty issues than Wenonah! Paddling a Wenonah canoe IS the Silent Glide experience.

Choosing your Canoe: With all the different models, construction materials, trim and outfitting choices available, you may find it difficult to select the canoe and options you really need. If so, please feel free to contact us for help. Snowshoes

If you can walk, you can Snowshoe! There is no reason to buy Chinese made snowshoes with so many American made models and brands to choose from. We have the best right here in the USA and at competitive prices, so please remember to check the label. The Silent Glide Canoe and Kayak Shop offers four lines of snowshoes. Each are top quality and unique. Redfeather, Iversons, and Northern Lites are made in America--Redfeather in La Crosse, Wisconsin; Iversons in Shingleton, Michigan; and Northern Lites in Medford, WI. Faber are made by our North American neighbor in Quebec. Silent Glide Retail Store

There are usually over 100 canoes and kayaks to choose from, and Dan will special order any boat or accessory you want at no extra charge. Canoe and kayak special orders can take from a few days to five weeks. Accessory orders usually just take a few days. Other products in our retail store include paddling accessories, camping gear, repair kits, first aid kits, inflatable kayaks, wet suits, snowshoes and much more!
